Elliott is an engineer, entrepreneur and most importantly, a cottage owner! Elliott found himself worried about uncontrollable disasters, like a water leak caused by a burst frozen pipe. Elliott quickly found that many shared his fear and were in need of a simple solution to protect their properties. So Elliott did what any engineer would do and set out to develop syndii with co-founder Nicholas Romanidis.

Nicholas is a software engineer and a father of two young boys. When his second child was born, he arrived to a chilly home (only about 10°C / 50°F). What he didn't know was that his furnace had broken a couple of days before he and his family left the hospital. Nicholas felt there needed to be a reliable way to be notified when problems like this occur when you're not home. Nicholas teamed up with Elliott to develop syndii, an easy to use and always connected device that can monitor for temperature drops, water leaks and power outages.
